NVMC Crab Cake Cruise Oct 3rd

Some of us did this last year. It was a great time. At the moment they are working on the final details(i.e. time and route).

Ok folks we have a date for the Crab Cake Cruise and its official. Modified route from last year. We'll start at Expo Center and work our way to Excessive then down towards Falmouth , and across the 301 Bridge into Maryland ending up in Broomes Island MD. Anyone who wants to help especially with FRS Radios is very welcome to contact me for details on how we can make this work smoothly.

All clubs are welcome, last year we had ALOT of friends join us for the cruise from Maryland. I know some of y'all are very active on their forums and could you please spread the word.

Date : October 3rd

1. Starting at Expo Center: Meet at 745 Leaving 800 SHARP

2. Stop in Manassas at Sheetz on 28S near intersection of Manassas Drive and 28.
One car(me) will leave Sheetz to pick up anyone at Excessive and bring them to main group at Sheetz
THIS IS THE LAST STOP FOR GAS/REST ROOM before Broomes Island(2.5-3 Hours)
Leaving 9am SHARP

28 South from Expo Center

Left Manassas Drive

Left Euclid

Right at Owens Drive to Ventura Drive.

Second Rally Point is the Cul De Sac there.


From Excessive Motorsports


Left Euclid

Right on Manassas Drive

Left on 28


Take it to Route 17 South

Thru Fredericksburg changes to 218 Caledon Road

Turn left onto 218/206 Dahlgren Road

Left onto 301

301 Across Potomac

Turn Right on Budds Creek Road

Left Trinity Church Road(Route 231)

Thru Hughesville Across Bridge Cross Patuxent

Turn right on 508 Adlelina Road

Left on Route 506 Sixes Road

Right on Grays Road

Right Broomes Island Road

Left Oyster House Road

Thats was pretty fun last year, wish they would drive a hair faster though.

Lol, we had a bunch of cars though. But, yes, a good time. Especially at the restaurant. I ain't sitting with you mofos!

Ahhhh, c'mon! You had a fun, chilling adventure sharing a table with us!

This is the only cruise/event I made it out to last year and it was awesome! I took off for this, so I will be attending this one as well....let's make a stong effort for all to make this!

C'mon guys, you have a little over a week to plan for this.

If the chinaman can make, anybody can. I mean seriously, he has to have someone watch the drycleaners, carry-out, nail salon, liquor store, and all of his other enterprises just to go!

Ah , do you have to join the forum to read the post, because the link takes you to their page, but there's no info on it about the cruise.

I went last year and I'm thinking about going this time as well.

As of right now, the cruise is a "maybe". I'll find out and get back to everyone.

If it is a go, please post the details over here. I tried registering last night but evidently your account has to be approved by an admin and I still haven't gotten approved.

I would LOVE to do this again this year, BUT I work that day AND have the Alice In Chains concert at 7pm as well. That was one nice cruise that started very close to my house and worked its way up to Solomons Island I agree with Brian about picking up the pace a bit, BUT the NVMC co-founder is an Alexandria police officer, so the group is only going to be "allowed" to go but so fast...

40% chance of rain Sunday.

So who all is still going? If hardly anyone is going to go, I'm going to work Sunday and just catch the next cruise.

Is there a list going around to get a head count for this?

Ok, here is the update. Due to low numbers for this weekend, they are moving this cruise to the 3rd of Oct. NEXT SUNDAY!!! They will be leaving from the Dulless Expo Center at 9am......meeting at 830am.


Let me know if you all are interested and want to go so I can give them a full headcount. Thanks.


Also, they are doing a min cruise this Sunday anyway through the Great Falls, VA area. For those that are interested......

I might be interested, hard to say right now.

3 Oct would probably work better for me, and hopefully the weather will be good.
