Ive got a huge problem...

So you may know my car is up for sale right now and im trying to buy another mustang with a v8. Well those plans look like they are going to hell. Its a long story, but over the summer my neighbor called animal control on our 13 year old golden retriever because he claimed we neglected the dog and always let it bark. So we had to go to court and we pretty much destroyed him and he lost the case. As of christmas eve, he is calling us and our neighbor (who he is taking them to court for their dog) from a prank phone call site, at 3 am every night and waking us up, house and dads cell phone, same time our neighbor gets these calls. NOW as of new years eve, he keyed my dads truck. Last night, he vandalized my moms 2012 ford edge by throwing rocks at it. So I had to hide my car today because of this asshole. And tonight my dad and I will be waiting in his truck for him to come back. ANY ADVICE??

Video tape it.
Call the police to get a paper trail.
Press charges.
Let us know his house address.

the police seem useless , both officers over the past 2 days say they cant do anything. even if we get video of him, we are going to need to wait for a court date and then wait for monthly payments to fix our cars, this guy is broke and driving a POS! I dont even want to buy a new car at this point cuz he will just keep vandalizing it. He is also physco, he has arson charges for trying to burn down his neighbors house at his last house. He moved in our neighborhood 2 years ago.

Yeah, it can be painfully slow which is why getting the paper trail started as soon as possible and be as complete as possible is important. The more against him by the court date, the better

my dad and me waited up all night for nothing, but on a good note, we ordered some infrared cameras to put in front of my house. Until they come, no mustang for me :/

ok for most misdemeanor crimes its officers discretion wether an arrest is made if the crime isnt done in front of the officer. however if you catch him and are able to keep him there until an officer arrives i cant imagine them not taking the arrest. or at least getting u enough of the guys information to obtain a warrant. did u consider obtaining a peace order??

I know you stated you purchased cameras. There are also those cameras hunters use that blend in to the trees and only record when motion is detected. You can strategically place it close on of the cars that way you get him. Also you can aim one of the cameras towards his house so that you can get him coming from there.

I think I saw something on the news where a guy used a hunting camera to catch a guy who kept going into his car at night.

according to mythbusters, water does way more damage then sugar. the amount of sugar needed to ruin an engine is wayyyy more the amount of water you can use.

Revenge is best served .....slowly. Any course of action needs to be completely thought out. Listen to our law enforcement brothers. Time will dictate when the proper response maybe used . In the mean time try to locate where you can obtain those fireants. We're all behind you. Also I have some aquaintaces that have last names that end in vowels that could be introduced to this neighbor.
