replacement parts

So I've been helping my buddy with his 2001 svt cobra. The only part that is missing is the one part both of us cant think of the name of and I will feel rather stupid when I hear it lol. On the hood there is a loop that lock down onto the hood latch. My friend's is either bent or broken or whatever the case but figuring it needs to be replace due to hime having to SLAM the hood hard in order for it to lock down. Any thoughts on the part that need to be put in? The hood, hood latch, hood struts, and release cable all replaced.

Striker Bar I believe.

check the adjustment Nick.......the latch assemblies sometimes are adjustable, the holes are often square to allow up/down and side to side adjustment on the latch portion that bolts to the crossmember

Will do, thank you both for the information and Mike I'll have the new wheel/tires this coming week so all issues will be gone on my car. Everyone here is extremely helpful and have great suggestions.

Scratch broken or bent, his is completely missing. So gonna have to go and find one for him.
