Re: Possible engine tapping
Will double check it. It was strange because it only had happened when I was backing out of my garage hasn't happened again, but will give it a good checking in the morning

Re: Possible engine tapping
So spoke with a few more people and turns out that one possibility is a normal noise with the AC on, another possibility is the new throw out bearing is bad. Time will tell, and going to change the rear diff oil and see if that stops the rear end issue

Re: Possible engine tapping
I doubt that new throwout is bad.........could be an issue with input shaft bearing in the tranny as it'll stop spinning with the clutch pressed in, but I wouldn't be overly concerned as long as noise doesn't get any louder and the next time you come up for something such as gears, I can go for a ride and give you my opinion. Also if you plan to do gears within the near future you can kill a few birds with that stone such as swapping out fluid and save on money there.nicholasa631 wrote:So spoke with a few more people and turns out that one possibility is a normal noise with the AC on, another possibility is the new throw out bearing is bad.
