Sad news to share about our friend.....

Today I am sad to share we have lost a friend, may you RIP Juan, our thoughts and prayers are with your familia.

Today, October 13th, the Prince William County Police Department was saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Detective Juan Pena. Juan was a dedicated and well-respected member of the police department and a loyal friend to many. He served in the United States Army from 1996 until 2003 before joining the Prince William Police Department in November of 2003. Juan began his law enforcement career as a Patrol Officer where he served for 4 years before becoming a School Resource Officer in 2007. During the last 3 years, Juan has been assigned to the Violent Crimes Bureau as a Robbery Detective and most recently as a Homicide Detective. Juan cared deeply for his family, friends, and fellow department members, and his smile and kind heart showed everyday through his encounters with those he loved and cared for. His loss will be felt profoundly by all of us with the department and his memory will never be forgotten. Juan is survived by his wife and children.
