Sure! I'm going to cajole the hotel folks to let me use their hose Friday anyhow. I'll bring the car wash stuff if you want...
Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
from a forum sponsor at mustangforums.com, the website to order from is http://www.obsessivedetail.com/carwashanddetailers.html , go to you tube and search "optima no-rinse" you can find several tutorial vids on it. I use their line or wax and polishes as well. Top grade stuff.
"No Rinse™ Wash & Shine is the most technologically advanced car wash system that only requires 1-2 gallons of water to wash the entire car. No Rinse™ Wash & Shine does not require rinsing since there are no soapy surfactants to wash off into the storm drains.
This unique product contains substantive polymers which bond to the paint and protect it during the wash. Therefore, No Rinse™ Wash & Shine offers greater protection and lubricity than conventional car washes leaving a sleek & glossy finish behind afterwards. The wastewater in the bucket can be easily disposed of into a sink, where it will be treated!
Additional benefits are faster washes, ability to wash anywhere at anytime including washing inside the garage during the cold months, no messy water runoffs, and greater looking car finishes. These are some of the reasons No Rinse™ Wash & Shine is being used by many professional detailers across the country.
No Rinse™ Wash & Shine can also be used to wash motorhomes, motorcycles, boats, and planes."

Well so it begins. There will be stangers at the Bad Pony Tent starting tomorrow afternoon. if you have any questions or issues look up Jeff Greenly ( 06VistaBlueGT) or Al Davis (MY08STANG). I will be heading up on Friday morning. Hope to get to meet all of the MPSF folks at our tent or yours.

Hey everyone, just thought i would pass this on to you all. I was talking with my folks who are still living in York, Pa, where I am from, and they informed me that the Hot Rod show at the York Fair grounds is going on this weekend as well. I have been to it a few times growing up and it is a HUGE turn-out and there are some awesome hot rods. For those that don't know the area, York is about 45 mins. south of Carlisle. Just FYI.........

My neighbor has a '39 Ford, and goes to that every year. Never been, but he says it's a monster show...
Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
Yep, it's pretty damn sweet! And from what my Mom says, the weather is looking great for this weekend thus far. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
The two shows have been on the same weekend many many times in the past. the york show is mostly the rod guys, or extreme modders. Both are apparently VERY packed at the same time.
Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
What is it about the Carlisle Friday that it rains every year? I hate that! Showfield is muddy, the car needs a complete recleaning. Argh! Man I hate that!
Well, looks like it's a drive up in the rain Friday no matter what. Guess I'll go straight to the hotel, look up a car wash, and wash the car late in the evening, then get in line at 6am Gate 3 with the rest of the humanity to pick up my packet.
See you all there. Again, I"ll either be in the modified S197 row or the Bad Pony Club tent area, depending on the crowd when I register.

There goes the CJ Pony Parts Cruise for me at least. I hate getting up there when it rains.

Hey John why not pick up your packet and credentials on Friday and avoid the rush on Saturday. Much more relaxed Friday afternoon. Then you can just drive right in Saturday morning.

Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
Yeah, I guess if it means driving up in the rain I might as well get it done and focus on cleanup in the morning...that works!
Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
Was a fun day here folks, talked with several folks from various Mustang forums all day long. I'm staying overnight into Sunday morning but am going to roll home after waking up.
Hell of a LOT of Mustangs!

Re: 6/5-7/09 Carlisle All-Ford Nationals
Hey Laura, I am sorry I missed you at the tent !!!! How could I possibly do that ???? Anyway the Bad Pony Club wishes to express its thanks, and I want to add my personal thanks to the MPSF members who signed up with us , and came up to Carlisle to hang out. I did manage to meet a few of you around the tent yesterday and today. It was indeed a great weekend and having the stang gang from MPSF made it even greater.
Unfortunately the Bad Pony Club only manged to pull a 2nd place in the Cool Club Hangout Competition, losing out to the wildly decorated tent of the Yellow Mustang Registry. Congrats to the YMR
In the Club Participation Award we were in the 1st spot up to about noon on Saturday when a last minute surge by the Merkur Club of America erased our lead and vaulted them into 1st place to stay. The final tally was 85 to 81 ! The Merkur guys are pretty awesome bunch and they turn out incredible numbers every year
But the truly important thing was spending a great weekend with like minded individuals and just plain having fun.
We will dust ourselves off and start planning for Carlisle 2010 sometime in the early fall. We hope you will all join us again next year.

Ken, you didn't miss me.......we bsed for a bit. I guess I didn't make that much of an impression haha. Thank you for having us....the cold drinks and food was a great touch! It's a shame we didn't win, but 2nd isn't too bad. Great times for sure and can't wait until next year!

Ken,
Good to meet you this morning. Sorry I couldn't get there on Saturday. The tent was a welcome break from the sun, and with red hair that's a good thing. I still look like a lobster though. Lots of great cars and great people. Thanks again.
Colin

Man if there is one thing I am getting really good at it is putting my foot in my mouth !!! I will admit to being very distracted on Saturday trying to keep up with the progression of the club challenge and making sure some of the other activities went off on schedule. so my apologies Laura and I owe ya a couple of beers next time !
