Mustangs Can Turn!
Well, I participated in my first AutoCross this past weekend in Verona, VA!
I raced in the Street Modified Novice class. I place 8th out of 29 for novices and 52nd out of 99 for overall best time.
I was thoroughly impressed with how my car handled. Stiff through the turns, and power in the straight aways. Biggest problem I am having is moving around too much in my seat - I'm battling trying to stay in place rather than driving the car. Gonna have to figure that one out before the next race...

Re: Mustangs Can Turn!
Yup! It was a fun day and plan to do 1-2 more autocrosses this year.
I was thinking a harness or CG-lock, but i think the root of my problem is my seats. In the furthest upright position, they still aren't upright enough. If i have my entire back to my seat, I can't reach the shifter or even see over my steering wheel. It's a problem; i normally have to sit up, but it causes my back to ache. Unfortunately, seats are expensive, and im low on funds... maybe carlisle will have some... which reminds me... still need to get those subframe connectors welded in.... been a pretty busy month, don't think ive forgotten!! Currently preppin the car for Ocean City this week...

no worry Ryan, whenever you're ready.............. I've been busy workin' on my 77 f150, got a lot done on it, motor should be going in soon, then front end back together, pop the bed on, wet sand and buff and then hopefully she's done!!RTW0223 wrote:.. which reminds me... still need to get those subframe connectors welded in.... been a pretty busy month, don't think ive forgotten!!
