Andrew and I made the cruise in and hung out about an hour before the skies opened up. Despite the looming weather event the crowd got big fairly quickly. A few first gen Mustangs showed up, and a Roush parked next to us:

And here is a rare one: a '75 Bricklin. Read here for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bricklin_SV-1

I beat the rain home! Then I stopped for milk, and almost got caught in it in DE. Eldersburg Home Depot Cruise In 434531

THEN I almost took it out to pick up my wings for dinner...I caught myself thinking "these better be the best mother effing wings in history to make me risk getting my car all sloshy..."

I took my beater instead...

I got nailed in a deluge 5 mins from the house. Thirty minutes later the sun came out, and I wiped the car down, getting most of the slop that got thrown on the car. Looks like a wash and wax are in order still...

In Carroll County, the cruise ins are first and third Saturday in Mt. Airy (Jimmy Cone/Food Lion parking lot) and second and fourth Saturdays in Eldersburg (HomeDepot).

Next weekend, Aug 1, will be at the Mt. Airy site.

How long do the Carroll County cruise-ins last? Summer only or through the fall, etc?

Andrew, I think they go through October. I found this on a cruising site:

"
Mt Airy, MD
Cruise-in at the Jimmie Cone near the old Jamesway store in Mt. Airy. Held the 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month (April - October) starting at 5:30 pm. Street Rods, Muscle Cars, DJ, etc. (This replaces the cruise which used to be held at the Green Valley shopping Center). Multiple club activity (Mid-MD Ford Club, etc...). To get there, from I-70 take MD 27 to Mt. Airy, turn left before shopping center onto Main Street. Follow Main Street to intersection of MD 144 and turn left onto 144. Turn right into shopping center and go up the hill, you can't miss Jimmie Cone. This is one of the larger cruises in MD. "
