Re: Install Day July 4th 10:00 Westminster
aight cool, so how many installs are there and what decides the order for the installs? since its the 4th of july, is there like a beer pong tournament which determines ur place in the order of installation?..lol.... I do have a new h-pipe that i picked up a week ago, and just having it sitting around is torture. I have been really close to using jackstands along the street..

All are welcome! Chris, I wouldnt have time for a lsd install. Sorry man, but im trying to just make it more of a social day than another day at work.
Yes, The exhaust on the V-6 is first then whatevers fairly easy. Im trying to get this shelby GT 500 suspension kit in too. That should take about 2.5-3 hours to do.

I'll come and bring my ricebowl with me most likely. Don't really need anything done unless someone here with a magic wand can find me a plug & play tuner for my car heh.

Re: Install Day July 4th 10:00 Westminster
Yeah... This is the third time the EGR cooler has gone up... and the last two I paid over 4k at the dealership. It always seems to blow 1 month after the 12 month warranty is up. This time I am deleting the ERG cooler and doing a bypass.
Hopefully it takes care of the issue.
I had a 2011 delivered last week, but sense came over me while waiting for it over the weekend. I decided not to pay 52k for a truck until my divorce is over in August.

Re: Install Day July 4th 10:00 Westminster
I'm undecided whether I'd make it up or not. I'm going to be working on the stang quite a bit this weekend so if I'm satisfied by Sunday morning, I'll come up. If I'm behind schedule, I'll probably stay behind and finish it.

If i remember correctly from my days working at a ford truck dealership, The main reason why they were failing was becouse the trucks were only being used at light loads. The best way to not have it go out was to run the trucks hard. I never did work on that issue, Just say a shit ton of trucks come in for it. Along with the heads and turbo shit.

Re: Install Day July 4th 10:00 Westminster
Internationals bad design of the EGR cooler and Oil Cooler. Happens more on tow rigs, due to increased exhaust temps being pumped through the EGR cooler, causing flash boils. This heat cycles the coolant tubes inside of the EGR cooler.
Usually this happens every 50k miles UNLESS a 6.0 has broken its Oil Cooler, and the engine has puked. Once this happens, many times it will blow the EGR cooler sooner due to debree insuide of the coolant system. While the dealership does run cleaner through the engine, and coolant system, many times pieces are dislodged and block off the passages inside of the Oil Cooler. This in turn causes more flash boils within the EGR cooler.
The common fix to this is to block off the EGR exhaust gas, so that it does not get recirculated through the intake. It also bypasses the coolant directly to the Oil Cooler. This does make the truck NOT legal to ride on the road due to emissions, but Diesels do not get emission tested, so I think I am safe... It also lowers intake temps, and increased power.
