I've had the 4.10s in mine since Feb '07 (over 85K miles ago) with not 1 single issue! You rode in it for a little while a few weeks ago. What did you think? That was with the OEM tires/wheels, NOT my much taller/heavier tires wheels out back which definitely slow it down. I drove it with the shorter wheels all winter long and still could avg 20 mpg. You won't have any worries about mpg unless you go around laying into it all the time 4.10 FRPP - Page 2 10498 Anybody who tells you they bought a '05-'10 GT for mpg is lying! That will come in '11 with the 412 HP/26 mpg GT! L has great advice there 4.10 FRPP - Page 2 10498

Oh wow, I didn't know you had the 4.10's installed. It felt good to me.

Sounds good to go. I'll order the parts via the numbers Laura gave me and Mike is going to install them.

Thinking of trying the Roush rear springs, and if it looks odd or doesn't ride right, I'll add in the fronts. Can't wait to get the parts installed and have some fun Smile

The mod bug strikes again Sad Smile

The rear spring swap is simple and can be done in less than 30 minutes!

Hold it, why would you put just rear springs on? how much of a drop is it?

Its a common mod for the s197's it levels the car. From the factory it has a 1.25" rake. It makes the rear tire wells look a lot better as well.

There are many people who just do the rear springs, however for a proper handling car I prefer to do all 4 corners.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I can understand dropping the rear to level the car, but if it's an increased spring rate then it will adversely effect handling.

Right. After some reading, I'm going to do all 4 corners. Just need some more research. Suspension has been on my mind, for looks AND performance. I just need to decide which springs. I don't want too aggressive drop, I was looking around ~1". Plus I don't have much money I can drop into the car at this time.

I have the Eibach kit, most 197's here have the Pro Kit, about 1" drop, as for JPC they told me that all 4.10 gears they install whine. Probably not a good ad technique!! Mine don't whine and JPC didnt do the install!

Umm yeah. I'm not going to JPC for that. They quoted me a ridiculous amount, with the discount and would take them a few days and it whines!? C'mon. Thanks for bringing it up. Good to know about such things.

I heard Eibach Pro is pretty popular choice. So many choices when it comes to suspension.

Oh gawd no! no no no!

No one drives my car.. so he won't know and hopefully he won't notice the drop when I lower it lol.
IF anyone in my household tries to drive my car, they would get their ass kicked by it when they step on the throttle as it is.

lol, well it's just that I board with my parents.. you know, to save money and all. (been going towards the mod bug recently lol)

My dad used to give me a lot of sh*t and like a broken record too, over and over. He's been much better these days, but yeah, he's the kind that would drive someone over the edge, ya know? 4.10 FRPP - Page 2 1643

If all the gears they install whine, then they're not installing them correctly. I'd stay away from ANY shop that tells you some crap like that.

I have the Eibach Pro Kit on my car and it lowered the front 1.3 inches and the rear 1.5 inches. It really looks a lot different than stock. I'll tell you what.... It's so low now that it's hard for anyone to pull it up onto a lift without using rails. Looks sweet Smile
