Alright disregard the last posting install will have to wait until the new year. The company wants me to drop off the car on Sunday so they can start. Looking to be down around 3-4 weeks with them

Doing the spring/panhard bar swap usually takes about 3 hours. The back can be done in about 45 mins or less!

chrisverneuil wrote:Anyone happen to have any layin around theyd like to get rid of:) Id love to lower my car, Just really dont want to buy a new set of springs:). Need a little feed back on that also. I know ill be needing camber/caster plates, Panard bar. But what offset is the max you can go with a lowered stang. I think i have a +35 allaround

I have a set of StangSuspension Stage II springs I just took off my car last month (they were put on in Feb of '07, which was about 80K miles ago). The drop is 1.75" front/1.5" rear. It did require both camber plates and adjustable panhard bar. I can sell them at a very reasonable cost as they're not doing me any good sitting in storage Springs?! - Page 5 10498
What "offset on a lowerd Stang" are you referring to??? The wheels???

Alright one last question would it be worth it for me to purchase the caster camber Plates for adjustment with the Eibach Pro Kit and do they work with the stock shocks. Thanks

haha, yeah i guess that was a little confusing. If it was me i would NOT buy them unless i needed them. I never ran them on my S197, most people dont. Now on my Cobra i needed them in order to get a proper alignment.

Alright installers who is up for the challenge of a spring install on the 20th of February. I know nothing about doing this but am willing to learn. If there is any tools that I need to purchase please advise. I have everything but a spring compressor. Thanks. If this date is no good just let me know and we can try for sometime in March.

The springs will work with stock shocks, but upgrading will always be better as pushing the stockers too long at the limit isn't great. I ran mine lowered (1.75" front and 1.5" rear) with the stock shocks for about 70K miles with no adverse effects. I recently switched them out for the FRPP damper kit when I swapped to the FRPP K springs. That way, I knew it was a matched system Springs?! - Page 5 10498
I have spring compressors already. Not sure what I'm doing the 20th yet as I'm waiting to hear the final date for the snow tubing trip, BUT I'd love to help out on your install Springs?! - Page 5 10498

Thanks alot. Ok I will pass on the caster camber plates for now then. I dont think I drive the car enough to really worry about major issues with the stock shocks but we will see. Hopefully I will be able to start this year.

OK waiting on John to let me know what day workds best for him either tomorrow or wednesday for the install. If anyone is available and wants to help or just hang out give me a shout. This will be one less project sitting on the shelf and think will give a great look to the car. If interested shoot me a email at droptop306@hotmail. and I will send you the address.
